Human sensing

Sensing human physical and physiological changes

Hypothesis:
Real-time sensing and analysis of human physiological and physical changes will help linking changes abnormalities to pathological conditions, leading to more effective medical treatment.

The human body is complex, and its working is regulated by changes in mechanical and physiological conditions. Continuous monitoring and real-time analysis of mechanical and physiological parameters will help in linking abnormalities in changes to pathological conditions. The results of this research will lead to more effective medical treatments, both in the physical and in the psychological domain. This is an exploratory, multidisciplinary research building on foundations of psychology, neuroscience, physiology, mechanics and data science. In particular, this research project focuses on human physical and physiological sensing and data analysis, thus requiring a sound background (or a keen interest) in mechanics and electronics, and potentially heavy data science work.
